I volunteered at AHRC during my Spring Break in 2010 with the University of Florida Alternative Breaks. I had a great time. I was amazed to see the influence that AHRC had on the community it serves. It was a great experience because I learned a lot from the staff, volunteers, and people who came to the AHRC. This experience made me more understanding and opened my eyes to the different issues surrounding substance abuse.

I was at AHRC in January with Alternative Breaks, you all are amazing people and keep doing what you are doing you are making a great difference in the world! More people need to be caring and understanding as the staff at AHRC. I hope to volunteer there again some day! I also hope that you are all enjoying your new painting and offices :)

To:Jeff and staff of AHRC, great web page and website:
I pray that God will continue ordering AHRC steps to be a beacon of light in ATL. I also pray that GOD grant me favor to become a member of the staff of AHRC in the near future.

Jeff;
I just want to send a shout out to you and AHRC.

I am so excited that the webpage is finally growing! I have been passionate about harm reduction since I was a teen and have personally had many experiences with substance abuse both directly and indirectly. Unfortunately school, work, and kids keep me from volunteering, so I am trilled about this coming summer when I can finally do it!
Thanks for all you do AHRC! You're educating us to be safe, perhaps happier people.

Mr. McDowell, I wanted to commend you on a great presentation of AHRC and the agency's importance in the metro Atlanta area during the CDC's HIV 30 Years Later: HIV Prevention Prorgrams session held at the King Center on Thursday evening. I am truly honored and appreciative to be a part of the AHRC's team as a MPH student volunteer! Wishing continued successes and breakthroughs going forward...
